Hopefully this is the last time I rebuilt the dieinter.net site. (for now at least) Previously, we were on a platform called joomla! which proved to be less flexible and user-friendly than this layout you are currently seeing. We are now running on the Drupal 4.7 platform and it rocks! All content on the old site was transferred (including your login name/password and all the photo galleries)One major change in layout you'd notice, is the horizontal dropdown menus at the top. This should make navigation easier than with a nav-block on the left.The gallery section is also had a facelift, but should still work in a similar fashion. (Only registered/logged in users can access the gallery for the moment. I am open for discussion on opening it up for everyone, so feel free if you want to convince me otherwise.) Users should still be able to create their own galleries like before.New users can register by clicking here. - It's free of charge and only takes a couple of seconds. The site still needs a LOT of work, so for now, it's WYSIWYG!.The following sections is working now (in "beta" stage), and should operate without major problems:
- blogs
- news feeds
- user-list
- facelifted gallery
- shoutbox (new software, but same concept)
- private messaging
- buddylists
- weather (coming soon)
- extended user-profiles (coming soon)
- downloads and links
- ...and more!
Note that this is a work in progress, If the site does not look right to you: PLEASE SAY SO IN THIS THREAD!I only have access to one computer: mine. I can only approximate how it will look on your monitors. Therefore, your feedback is critical to this process. Heita bra, die site lyk shanana! My persoonlike opinie, daar is nogal dikwels buddies oorsee vir wie ek die link wil stuur om na die phodies te kyk, maar hulle wil nie noodwendig op die site registreer nie, net once off na die phodies kyk - is vir hulle makliker om via email met my in kontak te bly aangesien hulle dial up connections het.

Ek sal later weer kyk na 'n manier om alles oop te maak vir almal, maar vir nou kan jy ook buddies invite na die site toe deur te click op "users" op die boonste menu, en dan kies jy "invite a friend to dieinter.net" in die dropdown menu.
As hulle dial up connections het, gaan dit maar dieselfde wees of hulle register of nie. Stadig bly maar stadig :P

I have disabled the buddylist functionality until further notice due to some problems with this module not matching users up correctly.
Die site lyk baie cool. Net
Die site lyk baie cool. Net een probleempie opgetel... In Firefox teen 1024x768 word nie al die thumbnails van 'n gallery display nie. Die laaste column verdwyn onder die "Upcoming events" "Shoutbox" etc.
Dan wil ek ook net iets weet oor die polls. As jy 'n file attach aan 'n poll, wat word daarvan? As mens na die preview gaan kyk is daar geen sprake van 'n file nie.
Yep, die gallery se theme is
Yep, die gallery se theme is nog nie heeltemal sharp nie. Ek sal dit nog mooi uitsort as ek kans kry. Daar is ook iets wat nie lekker is met die thumbnail creation van die gallery nie. Dit is op die announcements gemention op die frontpage. (al die nuwe thumbnails is way te groot)
Ek het al daai behaviour gesien van die file uploads wat nie wys nie, maar ek dink dis net wanneer jy dit preview. Probably sal dit daar wees as jy die poll submit... Ek sal net gou doodseker maak.

My screen is nog steeds fucked. Dis net die frontpage, though, die res pas in. Ek moet net 5 myl afscroll om die shoutbox en stuffs te sien.
